Quackity: Before I leave, I would like to talk about something that is very serious for me and something that I would like to tell you about. Because for me it is a very serious topic and it is a topic that- well, I had my mind on and I want to express it- [reading Chat] yes, thank you. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas.

Anyways, lately I have been participating in events and projects, and in these events and projects, unfortunately it's become clear to me that my presence and name have only been used to attract the attention of my national and international community with the objective, as I see it, of generating more attention towards controversies - destructive controversies, and a rupture that is very clear in the community, and this is what I want to say: I'm NOT ok with these types of dynamics or stuff like this, and I want to make it very clear to my stream, my community, and everyone that, for this exact reason that I just mentioned, I want to make it clear that I want to distance myself and any of my projects from the Esland Awards, which you all know is coming up.

Sadly, the Esland Awards have been an event with a history of much controversy, a lot of division, and a lot of divisions within the community, and as you guys know, as you know, my content has never been characterized by seeking controversy or divisions or anything like that. It's for this exact reason that I don't want to be involved with these awards.

In advance, I ask the organizers of any type of events and projects like this to please show more respect to me and my community, because I've shown lots of sympathy and cooperation in these various projects and events, but it's become clear to me that their only interest is in using my name. My name and my community have been used to attract all this attention for distorted purposes, and I will no longer allow that to happen. I don't want it to happen. That is not what my content is about - not me nor my content nor anything I've done. That's what I want to make very clear here.

That's about it. I'm going to continue with the projects I'm doing and I want to thank my community so much for the support and love. I appreciate it very much, but I wanted to make this clear - I wanted to make this clear. This is just a topic I wanted to address quickly.

since i was younger or well, since i’ve been 14, i’ve been falling asleep to an air conditioner for five years. its odd i guess but it comforts me.

it bothers my mom and brother because it makes my room an ice box and if i leave the door open, it makes the house cold as well.

i always ask myself if this is normal of me. normal to keep it on, normal to be freezing cold for hours despite already being freezing cold.

where i am, fall and winter get cold real quick. or at least it does usually. that depends on that stupid groundhog though (luv u punxsutawney phil).

i fall asleep to the noise of the air conditioner. the fan, i guess. it’s comforting, it makes me feel safe. its my “white noise” or “whale noise” you could say.

i don’t know why i’m like this. and it like physically pains me to keep it off when trying to sleep. during the day i’m fine, i can turn it off but when i sleep, IT HAS TO BE ON. i can’t not have it on. its anxiety inducing to not have it on and try to sleep. i sound pathetic 😭

this isnt meant to be depressing or anything lol just me voicing a five year long thought and compulsion.

that’d be cool if someone could relate! when i search this stuff up, no one usually has the same experience i do lol 💀

December Drabble Marathon 1/31: Lights

AU: Modern family. John and Gale have been married for about 10 years. They have an 8-year-old son, Jack, and a 4-year-old daughter, Lilith.

Word Count: 1К

Summary: Story about John, Gale, and their children as they struggle with decorating their home for a neighborhood Christmas contest.

John and Jack sat on the floor, staring gloomily at the box of tangled Christmas lights. The wires were hopelessly knotted, and to make matters worse, it seemed like there was some damage to the wiring—there was a real chance they wouldn’t light up at all. And they needed them to work, especially after boasting to their neighbours about how they’d win this year’s holiday decorating contest. This was a disaster.

“Yeah…” John scratched his stubbly cheek thoughtfully. “This is a mess. Might be easier to just buy new ones.”

“Yeah,” Jack mumbled, staring at the lights.

“We are not buying new ones!” Gale’s voice cut through the room as he walked in, hands on his hips. “We’ll go broke if we keep replacing everything just because you two are too lazy to keep the old ones in order! I told you to wrap these carefully. Who was supposed to do it?”

John and Jack exchanged a look before simultaneously pointing at each other.

“Perfect,” Gale sighed, throwing his hands in the air. “Fine, go grab a snack. I made sandwiches, and Lili’s already halfway through hers.”

“But Buck…” John began, pouting. “The contest—”

“Don’t ‘Buck’ me!” Gale snapped. “I don’t care about your contest. I’ll survive if our house isn’t the brightest one on the block. What's wrong with you and this obsession with measuring who's got the bigger.... lights? I swear, you’re like children!”

Dejected, John and Jack shuffled off to the kitchen, where they sat glumly eating sandwiches, each lost in thoughts of defeat. Losing the holiday decorating contest to their neighbours was unthinkable. The thought of an unlit house gnawed at them.

When they returned to the living room, their jaws dropped. The tangled mess of lights was gone. Instead, the wires were neatly arranged in straight rows on the floor, perfectly sorted. Lili sat beside them, beaming with pride.

"See, Dad?" Jack smirks. "And you said the hand-eye coordination board for kids was a waste of money."

“My princess!” John exclaimed, scooping her up and twirling her around. Her gleeful laughter filled the room as she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck. He marvelled at her determination and focus.

Gale stood nearby, arms crossed, with a sceptical look on his face. “So, you managed to untangle them after all,” he said with a smirk. “Alright, Jack, grab the multimeter and the soldering iron. Time to light up the night!” His face lit up with a fierce grin, ready to turn this challenge into a triumph.

John and kids sat cross-legged on the floor, tension filling the room. Gale worked his magic across from them, tools in hand. He clipped wires, tested connections, and the air was soon filled with the smell of melting solder. Lili sat enraptured, her nostrils flaring slightly as she inhaled the metallic scent like it was an expensive perfume. Gale wrapped electrical tape around the soldered spots with practiced precision, biting off the ends aggressively. His long, nimble fingers moved with such confidence it was impossible to look away.

John watched him, his admiration growing with every deliberate movement. Gale, so completely absorbed in what he was doing, was irresistible. John can't wait for the night to remind him that his fingers are no less skillful.

“Done,” Gale finally announced, sitting back with a satisfied nod. “Jack, plug it in.”

Without hesitation, Jack plugged the lights into the outlet. In an instant, the room was bathed in a glow of hundreds of tiny lights, spreading across the floor like molten lava, casting warm, golden reflections on their faces.

“Go give the neighbours a run for their money, boys,” Gale said with a smirk, his tone daring. Then, turning to John, he added with a softer smile, “And keep the fire department on speed dial, okay?”

John couldn’t find the words to express how much he loved this stubborn yet responsible man. Gale’s mix of determination and care never failed to leave him speechless.

On the roof, John adjusted the final strands of lights, with Gale and Jack handing him supplies from below. Lili, with all the authority of a seasoned foreman, called out instructions, keeping everyone on task.

When the work was finally done, the four of them gathered in the yard to admire their efforts. John raised his hand solemnly. “Alright, it’s time. Gale, Lili, would you do the honours?”

Smiling, Gale handed the switch to Lili. She took it with all the seriousness her four-year-old self could muster and flipped it.

The house lit up instantly, a dazzling array of lights shining brighter than anything else on the block. The glow reflected off their wide-eyed faces, filling them with awe.

“Fantastic…” Jack whispered, unable to believe what they had created. “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

Gale rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide his smirk. Jack snickered, while Lili, not fully understanding the reference, clapped her hands with delight.

“Papa made the light!” she exclaimed.

John scooped Lili into his arms as she wrapped her little arms tightly around his neck as always. He reached out with his other arm, pulling Gale close by the waist. Gale, smiling, wrapped his arm around Jack’s shoulders and planted a kiss on his son’s head.

Together, their little family, pressed close, made their way back into the house, now illuminated by the brilliant glow of their holiday masterpiece.

“We totally kicked their butts, didn’t we, Daddy?” Lili whispered loudly into John’s ear, so loud that everyone could hear.

For a moment, silence falls, and John already imagines the conversation he’ll have later tonight, explaining to Gale where their 4-year-old daughter picked up such colourful language. But thankfully, the house is soon filled with genuine, hearty laughter—laughter and love that shine brighter than any string of lights.

1. Love In The Air: Koi no Yokan 🇯🇵 (4/10)

As expected like the OG I don't like that one that much... The only reason I still watch this one is because of Nagumo Shoma. Guess this will be dropped next week... And instead I just watch Kiss x Kiss x Kiss: Love ii Shower...

2. Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu 🇯🇵 (4/11)

Those two are the bluest boys out there right now. They long for each other, and it is coming to the surface, slowly but steady. And sure Hirukawa, you're not going to fall in love with him. Who do you want to fool? You are already in love! I really like this series so much and I know I am not ready for the heartbreak.

3. The Heart Killers 🇹🇭 (2/12)

This whole scene? Gorgeous! Perfect! Incredible! Hot! Wow! The rest of the show? Meh... I enjoy the StyleFadel dynamic, but the rest of the show? Not so much, for now. Perhaps it will get interesting in the future, right now it is kinda boring.

4. Word of Honor 🇨🇳 (25/36)

Yes, I kept watching. Well, this will take me a while to finish, I fear.

5. Your Sky 🇹🇭 (3/12)

I am in love with them! Is this a bit cringe? Sure. Is the story flat and kinda predictable? Also yes. Do I get butterflies in my stomach whenever they look at each other? Yes, yes, yes! It is so obvious that Fah already likes Teerak. He is so smitten and happy that they can play couple. I can't wait for the feelings to grow on both sides and for them to become real boyfriends and not just fake ones. I guess there will be some heartbreak, because to fill 12 episodes with fake boyfriends is a bit too much. But oh, this series feels so good! I am enchanted! The perfect watch for a sunday!

They can be glad to end this one with a happy ending! I would have thrown hands if they end it with them to never see each other again. I liked the series. It has such a wonderful melancholic feeling. It is calm and has topics that go very deep. But. The rending was very rushed. I guess we could have shorten some parts of the second couple (I really don't like them that much) and give some more time for the main couple. That is just my feeling. There were just too many questions open in the end for me. And as said, the ending was too rushed. I give this a good 8 out of 10.
